Parkash Presses with solid body plates have higher rigidity reducing deflection of frame thereby increasing the die life. Use of solid body plates instead of hollow box type frame eliminates excessive welding stresses reducing vibration making it suitable to work in both higher & lower gauge. The bed is fitted in groove in a seat and welded which is only possible in solid plates thus eliminating chances of welding crack on heavy loads.


Product Description:
Parkash Presses has eight point square gibbing slide arrangements ensuring accurate parallelism and perpendicular movement to produce quality and accurate drawn component. Non-ferrous adjustable liners are provided to ensure closer gib clearance and thereby precision.

Parkash Presses Frames are machined on Elgamill with all the slide guideway and Bed Machining after fabrication in one single setting. The bed and guideways are machined with geometrical accuracies conforming to ISI 4593-1968 i.e., 0.1mm per meter.

Design Features:

Toggles operation the blank holding and relieve the crankshaft of the blank holding strain which is then carried directly to the press frame. Thus, nearly all the crankshaft power comes to bear on the drawing operation. The Toggle linkage provides 90 degree of blankholder dwell during which the pressure on the blank is steady. Four independent adjustments, one at each corner of the blankholder permits individual corner adjustment of blankholder pressure. No more broken toggle shafts. The crankshaft & toggle shaft are one piece solid made from tested forged steel. The toggle shaft’s shape and side is designed for heavier load and longer life as compared to conventional toggle shafts with more maintenance & breakage due to welding or key ways. Parkash Presses are with multiple clutch plates system both in mechanical & pneumatic clutch with wear adjustment for taking heavy torque and maintenance free service for a longer period Parkash Presses side slide and connecting rod are steel casted grade 23-45, resistant to breaking and bending at high pressure thus maintaining the press life. The conventional C.I. Casting slides cracks at higher load whereas the fabricated or M.S. profile slide having low carbon tends to bend at high pressure, misaligning the whole press.

All pins, shafts, screws are made from alloy carbon steel & hardened, hard chromed, grinded within close tolerances for 100% interchangeability. From phosphor bronze to gunmetal to aluminium bronze or even oil less bushes and guides, when it comes to metallurgy Parkash presses are highly durable.

    FEEDER:

    Heavy linear motion guideways and accurate ball screws are used for fast and long lasting performance.

    A combination of two different materials for the feeding rolls is used to have zero frictional loss and scratchless blanks.

    Also the self centring coil guiding system for time saving.

    The very user friendly software provided for the blanking line adjusts itself for the blank size and coil width input by the user to give minimum optimum scrap wastage.

    SLITTING LINE:

    For those who require maximum coil recovery for their blanking solutions, we have introduced on-line slitting. After decoiling, coil gets slitted and is fed to the press for blanking operation. This way one can do the slitting operation as well as blanking operation in a single line for maximum coil recovery of up to 92%.

    SCRAP HANDLING:

    Scrap chopper mounted at the frame of the press shears the scrap in a neat manner at a speed of up to 65 strokes/minute.

    Not just for scrap, the chopper can also be used as a cut-to-length. The chopper itself can be used as a shearing machine for the coil width of up to 1600mm.

    Scrap coiler can also be used as rewinding of the scrap after the blanking operation with speed of the press.

    COIL HANDLING:

    Heavy duty decoilers are used in different sizes depending upon the customer’s requirement i.e with tonnage capacities varying from 3 to 10 tons.

    Frame

    The frame of PARKASH Screw Press consist of four steel casted frames, held together by four
    hydraulicaly pretensioned tie rods, and thus ensuring longevity of the frame, and forming of more accurate parts, and reducing the overall weight and size of the press.

    Screw is made of high-alloy forged, quenched and tempered
    steel which provides longer screw life. The screw bearing in the
    machine frame is a heavy-duty spherical flanged bearing.

    Screw Nut

    Screw nut is of special wear resistance bronze alloy fixed in the ram.
    Thread geometry in the screw drive with optimized tooth profile and four
    start threads, has already proved to be durable and tough in the past. 

    Motors and Driving System of the Press

    The drive comes from two heavy-duty high torque motors linked via a bull gear to the external diameter of the flywheel. The press force is limited by a slipping clutch provided in the flywheel.

    Foundation

    Optional spring damping foundation pads under the mild steel bed plate ensures low vibration during press operation.

    Lubrication.

    Screw, thrust bearing and guides are continuously lubricated by re-circulating oil
    lubrication system.

    Safety

    PARKASH Servo Screw Press is equipped with digital
    tonnage monitor in which the force exerted in forming process is measured and recorded by strain gauges. When the maximum permissible force is exceeded, the
    system displays a warning message and cycle stops, to prevent possible damage to the press. Photoelectric sensors mounted on both columns front and back.

    Ram and Guiding System

    Ram is of high-quality cast steel and is guided in four guides at
    45 degree with continuous lubrication, so that it is able to
    maintain constant clearance in spite of heat expansion. Bronze
    and steel are used as guide pairs.
